head in / im knopf

This instillation at the Berlinische Galerie, a Museum for Contemporary Art, Photography and Architecture, was designed by Magma Architecture specifically for the 150 m2 exhibition space. head in / im knopf was a sculpture and installation made of a high tension orange synthetic fiber stretched from the ceiling to floor and was as much a piece of art as the various radio and communications artifacts it held. Visitors bend down under the fabric into which openings were cut. Through these holes, visitors pop their heads up into the orange space to view drawings, models and photographs suspended from wires
