We Are The People

We Are The People is the latest video from the enigmatic Australian duo Empire of the Sun. The video for their debut single Walking on a Dream - which I posted on 12.07.08 - was filmed in Shanghai, while their latest release was filmed on location in the towns of Garcia Xilitla and the Icamole Desert in Mexico.

Empire of the Sun's videos are consistently theatrical and cinematic. They are storytellers. They give you feeling that with a decent camera, your Atari, a TickleTrunk and a friend with a knack for face painting, you could probably pull off the same effect for your newly formed band that hasn't written a song.
