With my Men's Journal subscription running out, and three months of unread copies crowding my desk, it's time to catch up. The Eyeclops Night Vision Goggles give you 50 feet of vision in darkness and run on five AA batteries. Considering the average set of night-vision goggles costs $500 or more, the kid friendly Eyeclops are James Bond deal at $80.
The Eyeclops Night Vision Goggles appeared in the MJ Holiday Gear Guide from the January 2009 Issue of Men's Journal.

The biggest design mistake for this funky gadget was how it requires five AA batteries. FIVE!!! I mean, come on... Who on that design team gave out the genius suggestion "Hey guys, let's have this sucker run on 7.5 volts, that way our customers need to buy two quad-packs of duracells".
Maybe they felt that buying an eight pack would leave us with those useful three extra batteries to be used in... What uses three batteries? A gameboy colour and a wireless mouse?
