Mercabarna Flor

Barcelona’s new wholesale flower market — Mercabarna-Flor — near the Barcelona International Airport was designed by Willy Muller Architects. Inspired by the aerial view of fields of flowers in full bloom, the angular and colourful outershell is the market's main attraction. Like a fresh cut set of Laurentian pencil crayons.

Awesome layout. We're digging it.
We thought we'd draw your attention to a ticket giveaway we've got going on over at SLICE.

It's for the Cut&Paste design world wide tournament. The Toronto Leg of the Tournament is this Saturday, and we know you're into design, so we thought we'd give you a heads up.

I got a new set every year, mostly to replenish the black nub I was left with at the end of the year. It always goes the quickest. My mom had the uncanny ability to perfectly label each pencil with my name. I never mastered that skill.
