Mike Shine Surf Shack

The art kick continues. Surf skate artist Mike Shine is opening the doors to his commissioned interactive community Surf Shack art project. Known for working with found objects, driftwood, skate decks, his latest installation recreates the original surf Bolinas California shack at San Francisco’s Museum of Craft and Folk Art as part of the Inside/Outside: Artist Environments exhibit. The Shack invites the public to come inside and enjoy the artists environment. Browse Shine's library, create a zine or take a closer look at the comprehensive design. This is what surf shacks would look like if Greg Knoll or Gerry Lopez had artistic imaginations. So great.
