Shusei Nagaoka

Sci-fi artist Shusei Nagaoka rose to popularity in the 1970s and 1980s, taking album art hostage and describing a period in our collective culture when our necks were craned upwards. It occurs to me that while these illustrations exist on the periphery of a George Lucas space ship orientation, Nagaoka's work imagines these images as both possibilities for the not so distant future and a fun bit of imagination.
