Architectkidd

This build hits close to home. Or to my newly adopted second home in Bangkok Thailand. The Architectkidd firm (which may be the most rad name in all of architecture) took up the project of modifying an existing shopfront into a showroom and retail space to properly display lighting. The result is a space with 'continuous circulation and movement' throughout every floor and a striking harmony between existing concrete structures and newly adapted steel. The ventilated exterior reflects the interiors playfulness, while also reflecting the ways in which shop owners traditionally use low cost, durable materials for hot house climates.
