'What's Under Your Mask?'

German illustrator Adrian Pavic has composed a series of beautiful prints celebrating the masked icons of Western society. The masks of Darth Vader, Batman, Silence of the Lambs and Point Break all have something to say about the ways in which we construct our own identity in relation to these mysterious silver screen stars. In a decade that presented the possibility for every individual to be famous, it is interesting to think of the cinematic ways those identities found their footing.
