The Guscott Kemp Residence

Where does an architect go home after a long day at the drafting table? Canadian architect Scott M. Kemp designed this sprawling single family home in Ladner British Columbia to protect his own familia from the elements. The home maintains a zero carbon footprint by utilizing a geothermal loop below the dock which overlooks the beautiful Fraser River. Kemp rethought conventional wood framing while incorporating cantilevered balconies to take in the mountain views.
