Lily Lives in the City

Bulgarian artist Lyuba Haleva investigates modern technological disconnect with her Lily Lives in the City series. Each large format mixed media panel brings together consumer packaging, newspaper and wood; exploring the individual in modern urban society. Haleva seems to be musing on the same topics Basquiat sought to understand with the same good sense of how to mix crayon and paint.
