Urban Glass House
David Jameson Architects out of Washington DC were approached by a client who wanted a transparent living space. Situated in a classic row-home neighbourhood, Jameson delivered a vertical build using walls of glass and horizontal black bars to define the modern space. I can't help but think of my interview with pop artist Scott Blake and the ways in which you can decode and unpack a simple series of lines; which Blake describes as the 'black and white icon of our data-drenched existence.'
