Brooks Avenue House

Let's give architecture another go. Designed by fellow canucks at Vancouver based design firm Bricault, this Venice Californian home was another remodel job to accomodate the client's growing family. With the favorable Cali climate in mind the barrier between interior and exterior was eliminated along with the need for air conditioning. This was achieved with a series of pivoting doors, open chimneys and cedar batten shade devices. Add in a rooftop terrace and this looks to be another candidate for dream home status. Well done.
