Portamento x The Drums

Not everyone is a fan. Like most things. But The Drums are one of my favorite bands. You'll be glad to know you can stream their entire sophomore album Portamento on The New York Times Style Blog. Their unassuming rock & roll continues to impress with that inspired state of casual brilliance. It sounds like a pop song. And it is. But there's more to it than that. I find a confident quality in a band that know what it does well and enjoys doing it.
