Washington DC Feng Shui

The greatest beauty in this Washington DC house is perhaps in its construction. The process took into account the complex root systems of the mature trees in the area as well as the consult of an arborist to leave the site relatively undisturbed. Using a set of light materials, the architects designed a lightweight structural system that efficiently delivered stability to the overall building. Two distinct thermal zones were created depending on the purpose of each room, with some spaces facing outward to bring in light and others turned inward to be dark & quiet spaces. Very feng shui.
