Inglourious Basterds

This is no guilty pleasure. This is the movie I have been anxiously anticipating since I saw Grindhouse three times in the theaters. Inglourious Basterds is the new movie from auteur director Quentin Tarantino. A World War II version of The Good the Bad and the Ugly, the film follows 8 prisoners turned soldiers who rally behind Lt. Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) to kill Nazis in as brutal a fashion as possible. The cast is rounded out in traditional Tarantino fashion, with B.J. Novak, Mike Myers, Cloris Leachman, Maggie Cheung and Eli Roth, and narrated by Samuel L. Jackson, because it wouldn't be a Tarantino flick without him. You haven't seen war until you've seen it through the eyes of Quentin Tarantino. Inglourious Basterds is scheduled to be released on August 21st 2009.
