You might remember the pioneer of underwater photography, Bruce Mozert, and German photographer Jan Von Holleben's series of photos entitled Dreams of Flying. Elena Kalis has created the same sensation of childhood imagination with her Underwater series. Photographed in the Bahamas, the series has eight sub sections each with its own title and theme. There seems to be some sort of tension between the playful costumes and colours, and the sophisticated and elegant ways the kids are moving their bodies. Did the water make them wise? I think I've naturally been attracted to the vibrant and joyful images, but the series includes some dark and haunting photographs you've got to see.
