Group Therapy

Lee Gainer's latest series Group Therapy explores the way individuals desire a sense of belonging to a group. Each work in the American's series features a group shot with the individual's faces removed, leaving behind only the fragments of the group. Gainer suggests that ‘when these ideas or interests require a certain uniform [...] it serves to underscore our sense of belonging and our perceived acceptance within the group.'
