Man... kite flying is fun! I hope to have the opportunity to fly a kite this summer.
I think it was in Granton Line this past summer, two of my friends along with a few younger youth tied a 10 pound spool of fishing wire to a dollar store kite.
After many hours of letting it go free, it took us a few hours to bring it back down to earth.
By estimating meters with arm-length, we approximated that the kite was flying at a distance of over 750 meters. It was so cool looking at the person flying the kite because it looked at though he was holding a string attached to the sky.
