Mid-Cave Primary School

The Mid-Cave Primary School was built in 1984 in one of three caves inside a mountain. The school accommodates 186 students, with a teach staff of 8. Sebastian at Arch Daily accurately points out the harsh reality of these humble conditions being unsuitable for a child to go to school, as well as poorly reflecting the Chinese government's attention to education. But when you view these images you can't help but feel these kids are lucky to go to school in a cave! Education by natural light.
