While mounting his Bon-Iver-cry-your-heart-out-attack on the indie music scene, Vernon recorded Hazelton in Eau Claire Wisconsin; pressing 100 copies of the tune, he spread le bon track in long paper sleeves with various nature photos to local record shops.
