A combination hotel / hostel, the 31 year old visionary has used culture as his medium. Vintage books and customized film loops and lampshades fill the space from wallpaper to eating area. Stock characters of the hotel experience, room keys and do not disturb signs have also been reimagined to create lasting memories: 'Perfection does not create memories,' says Michaelberger, 'because memories can only result from movement, from a lively experience of interaction - with people, the surroundings and the atmosphere.'
