Paying special attention to panoramic views of Southern Australia's Emu Bay, architect Max Pritchard framed out a home with large windows and indoor & outdoor entertaining areas. The building is elevated one meter above ground level to maximize the view and reinforce the dramatic form of the space, while the dominant raised lid roof emphasizes the drama of the exposed site. My favorite feature is the sheltered rear courtyard which houses watertanks and a wood fired pizza oven. Yes please. 17 February 2010
