Damien Hirst, he was suing the
16 year old street artist
Cartrain for copyright infringement. Now artist
Eugenio Merino is gaining a lot of attention for his parody of
UK bad boy artist
Damien Hirst.
For the Love of Gold depicts
Hirst encased in one of his own glass displays with the now iconic
$100 million diamond encrusted skull
For the Love of God printed on his tee. The piece is currently on display at
ARCO (the
Madrid International Contemporary Art Fair) and sold on the first day to a Florida collector for
$35 500. I don't think Hirst has many friends in the biz.
