G2

Mission accomplished. Need a ride? It's pay back time. Just call me Kowalski. It's the all or nothing days. The White Line Fever days. The Dirty Mary Crazy Larry days. I'm a driver, now.

A while back, I was inspired by the film "As good as it gets" to make a cd collection for driving that touched on the many environments that may manifest within the driving scene.
Examples: Stuck in traffic, Rainy days, Awkward silences, Sing-a-longs, etc...

And now that you have your license to drive, are you going back to the good old days of Less than Jake, Dashboard Confessional, Rage Against the Machine, and at least a few acoustic CD-Rs that include the must have "Eagle eye cherry - Save tonight" and "Tuesday's gone" by Metallica/Lynyrd Skynyrd?

What tracks do you ride on CC?

Can you drive me to the mall?
Love Bean

Of course Bean. I'll have the car seat installed soon.

And Nolan,
I think my current ride will dictate the audio format. I won't be making any retro returns to compact discs. For me, it's time for the mix tape. Right now I've got the Soundtrack to the Original Batman series, The Breakfast Club soundtrack and possible The Beach Boys Christmas. My tape deck needs some love.

RIOT IN THUNDER ALLEY - EDDIE BERAM
THE LAST RACE - JACK NITZSCHE
DRIVE SLOW - KANYE WEST
I WANT TO BE YOUR DRIVER - CHUCK BERRY

question,
do you have a car!? Or will you be buming off the rents?

The rents are in the process of getting a new car, so by summer I'll have my own wheels. She needs a name though.

A name for your car. It's tough to come up with a name but I can't wait to hear what you end up choosing.

Obviously, you refer to the automobile as "She", so I think I know what direction you're going to take it. Hahaha!

I guess Dirty Mary has to be considered at least. Although that doesn't quite describe the car at all, and gives the wrong impression. A gentleman can't take a nice girl out on the town in a car called Dirty Mary.

Officially strike it off the list.

Were you thinking BEATRIX?
No way. I've saving that one for my daughter.

I was not thinking of Beatrix. Although I love the name Beatrix, you want a name that has meaning to it, rather than a small statement of "I named my car after Uma's character in Kill Bill".

When you mentioned you wanted to name your car, I thought of the names for my guitars:
Dana, Bill, Keenan, and Alice.

Although very generic names, I've never once considered altering the names, even after 7 years of owning the guitars.

That, I feel, is the type of name you want for the car, something timeless. You could try for a play-on-words kind of name, but like most jokes, they get old. Just make sure the name you choose has love embedded into it.

Or if you really don't care much for a name, go for the funny and change it accordingly as time passes!
